1PM TRINITY RIVER UPDATE

1 pm May 28 update:

The release from the Lake Livingston Dam remains at 72,600 cubic feet per second.

Trinity River Level:

Romayor 37.9 and steady

Liberty 29.6 , slow rise to 29.8 expected

Moss Bluff 14.6 and slow rise to 15.3 expected.

The Red Cross reports that no residents utilized the shelter in Liberty last night ( May 27 ) but at least 6 residents have signed up to stay at the facility tonight.  This shelter is at 318 San Jacinto Street in Liberty and is being overseen by a great staff of Red Cross volunteers.

We are not making deliveries of items such as food and water to those residents that are staying in their homes. We are however providing them with the shelter so access to food, water and a place to sleep is available if needed.

We have visited with folks in the subdivisions along the river and in those areas where the water is over the road, some folks have advised us they are simply boating out to their vehicles, driving to town, going to the store and getting supplies and taking them back to their homes and their neighbors homes.

Once again, the shelter is open and we request that anyone looking to leave their homes due so in the daylight hours.

Will update as conditions warrant.
