2400 POT PLANTS DISCOVERED

Tuesday July 6, 2010, at approximately 5 p.m. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Special Investigations Unit acting on a TIP, discovered an outdoor
marijuana grow. The marijuana grow was located in an undeveloped area north of Duck Creek road near a pipe line right of way. Approximately 2400
marijuana plants were seized along with numerous containers of fertilizers, insecticides and other growing paraphernalia. Each plant if allowed to mature
was capable of producing approximately 1 pound of marijuana with a street value of $450 per pound. No arrests were made at the scene. The absentee property owner was contacted and advised of the illegal grow operation. This investigation is continuing. The SIU was assisted by the MCATTF, DPS Narcotics Conroe and the DPS Air wing.
