police officer struck directing traffic

Just after 4 p.m. Conroe ISD Police Officer Tammy Trotter was directing traffic on FM 1485 in front of Moorehead Junior High when a vehicle pulling out of the parking lot did not see her and struck her in the center lane. The officer suffered minor injuries and was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital by MCHD as a precaution. DPS is investigating the incident.

Traffic is slow in the area.

This was a vehicle from the parking lot turning onto FM 1485 not one already on FM 1485.

Driver please be aware there are two separate school zones near Caney Creek High School and Moorehead. The speed limit is 35 moh in both. A school Zone starts at the sign showing a school zone and ends at the sign END OF SCHOOL ZONE not just when it comes into view. Also this is a NO CELL PHONE area.
