EAST COUNTY — Meet James Melton, the New Caney Shrine Club’s Representative to the Shriners Hospital for Children (Houston).
Wednesday the New Caney Shrine Club elected 2 year old James Melton to be their representative to the Shriners Hospital for Children in Houston.
Last November James had his foot amputated by the Shriners Hospital for Children orthopedic center in Houston. James now wears a prosthetic from the Shriners and in no time he is running the floor of the Shrine Club meeting.
“I felt that James was the perfect representative for the New Caney Shrine
Club,” says Vice-President Stephen Carlisle. “He will be representing us until
he is 18 years old.”
“The New Caney Shrine Club’s purpose is to raise money for the Shriners Hospital for Children,” President Jim Clark said. “Moments like this is why I am proud to be a Shriner.”
