On Saturday, April 16, 2016, at approximately 8:55pm, the San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call of a Robbery in Progress at the Brookshire Brothers Grocery Store, 14761 State Highway 150W, in Coldspring.
Deputies responded immediately to the store and upon arrival found that a robbery had occurred, however, the suspect had fled the store in an unknown direction or mode. Witnesses reported the suspect approached the courtesy booth counter and delivered a note stating that he had a gun. The clerk handed over a bag containing an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect fled the store. Sheriff’s Detectives were called to the scene to process evidence and interview witnesses.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his early 40’s, with black rimmed reading glasses, unshaven, wearing a one piece jump suit with a yellow reflective vest, red shirt underneath the jump suit, a straw brimmed hat, and possibly gray or green snake skin boots.
