Alleged Heights arsonist faces judge

HOUSTON – A man charged with setting one house on fire in the Heights is locked up and prosecutors now say he confessed on video tape.

David Joseph Prince, 30, was in probable cause court Saturday night, following his arrest on Friday. He’s facing a single arson charge.

He’s accused of starting one of the fires in the area where there has been a rash of arsons recently. The arrest is for a Sept. 17 fire on 12th Street, which is right in the middle of the area where there have been more than a dozen other fires.
