The Amber Alert for Savannah Scheidler, a 20-month-old little girl has been canceled. On Sunday evening her biological father was to have a second of two supervised visits with his daughter. This after mediation on Friday. The Saturday visit went well. That night Savannah was taken to an urgent care clinic with pink-eye and ear infection. Her mother, notified Daniels of the illness but he wanted to keep the scheduled visit for Sunday.
The mother, Samantha Scheideler had moved from Arizona to Maryland and then to Texas in an attempt to avoid Daniels who had no custodial rights to the child and had a history of violence.
With the mother in the parking lot a supervisor was with the child inside the restaurant when Daniels said he had a gift in the car and was going to get it, the supervisor wasn’t comfortable but Daniel’s snatched the child and left in a vehicle driven by another person.
Monday morning the Harris County District Attorney found out about the abduction. Prosecutor’s recognized Daniels’ name from earlier this year.
“He wanted to get the child”, prosecutor Beth Baron said.
Just after 4 p.m. this Monday afternoon Daniels walked into the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Woodlands Office with the child and turned himself in.
As detectives talked with Daniels little Savannah played on the computer at the desk of the receptionist.
Then just after 6pm Samantha Scheidlelr arrived at the Montgomery County Sheriff’s substation at Grogans Mill and Lake Woodlands with her attorney and Savannahs grandfather and was reunited with Savannah.
After Sgt. Jason Moore verified court papers he escorted mother, attorney and family in for the reunion.
She was in good health.
Daniels’ has been charged with kidnapping.
