ANOTHER METH BUST

On Tuesday, July 17, 2018 the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office received information that a white, female identified as Kali Baucum, DOB: 12/03/1987 was distributing narcotics from a possible stolen RV. Deputies with the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Unit located Baucum in the South Liberty Oilfield. The Criminal Interdiction Unit had recently arrested her for possession around an ounce of Methamphetamine. Baucum is currently on probation in Liberty County due to that arrest. A condition of the probation is that if an officer believes that she is involved in criminal activities a law enforcement officer may conduct a search.

When the deputies approached the residence Baucum advised them that she had drug paraphernalia inside the residence. A search was conducted and deputies located a digital scale, measuring spoon, 109 baggies commonly used for packaging narcotics, three (3) baggies containing a crystal-like substance believed to be “Crystal Meth”, five (5) glass pipes with crystal meth residue, on syringe and a .22 caliber handgun with the serial number missing. The deputies also found tablets that are believed to be “Morphine”.

Kali Baucum was arrested and transported to the Liberty County Jail without incident. She was charged with: (1) Possession of a Controlled Substance, PG1 – Felony 3, and (2) Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon – Felony 3. The Liberty County Adult Probation Department was notified of Baucum’s arrest.
