another meth lab gone in liberty county

Yesterday afternoon, Deputies from the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office, while completing an investigation in regards to a Burglary of a Habitation,  were at an undisclosed location in the Horseshoe Lake Estates subdivision.  While in the area, Deputies followed up on information received of an alleged working Methamphetamine Lab in the same area.

Upon Deputies arrival to the alleged Methamphetamine Lab location,  they located several persons at a residence.  Deputies received cooperation from the persons found there.  Further investigation yielded a complete, working Methamphetamine Lab with a substantial amount of already processed product for sale on this property.

Deputies on the scene, realizing the danger of this kind operation not only to themselves but to surrounding citizens in the area, contacted the Special Crimes Unit of the LCSO.  These Investigators along with members of the Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigations Division responded to assist in this investigation.

The removal of this extremely flammable and explosive material requires special equipment and Law Enforcement Officials must be specifically trained and certified to handle, dismantle and remove any Methamphetamine Lab materials.
