Late Sunday night, January 16, 2011, just before 10:30 pm, the Texaco Gas Station Convenience Store located at 28677 IH-45 North in Shenandoah was robbed by two armed men. Just after 3:00 am on Monday, the Shell Gas Station Convenience Store at Many Pines and Woodlands Parkway in The Woodlands was robbed by the same set of suspects. A subsequent robbery of the Exxon station located at 710 Sawdust Road, by one of the criminal duo, at 8:30 Monday morning lead to the arrest of a suspect.

Justin James Washington, 24, of Spring, was stopped by Montgomery County Deputies after he was seen driving a vehicle matching the description provided by the Exxon Convenience store clerk shortly after the robbery. A search of the vehicle lead to the discovery of cash and a handgun. Washington was identified as the single suspect in the Chevron robbery and part of the pair that robbed the Texaco in Shenandoah and Shell on Woodlands Parkway. A confession obtained by Shenandoah Detective Sergeant Mark Denham confirms Washington’s involvement.

However, the second suspect is still being sought. Shenandoah police are looking for a Hispanic male, approximately 6’ tall, 225 lbs, in his late twenties last seen wearing a designer gray hoody sweatshirt with dark colored graphics and gray pants. The suspect has stars tattooed in the webbing of his left hand and an unidentified tattoo on his upper right forearm. He is believed to be armed with a hammer or small machete that was used during the aggravated robbery of the Shenandoah Texaco Station.
