SUWANEE, Ga. — The Gwinnett County Police Department SWAT is on scene of a barricaded gunman holding five Gwinnett County firefighters hostage.
Police believe the firemen responded to a home on Walnut Grove Way in Suwanee for a medical call, where they are now being held. The residence is near Collins Hill Rd. and Taylor Rd. Police are unsure of the gunman’s motive at this time.
We have screws on the scene and will provide updates as soon as they are available.
Shortly after 5:00, Cpl. Edwin Ritter asked that news helicopters stay clear of the airspace for the safety of all involved.
