The Dyer Mill fire has rekindled from Monday night and is currently moving west after a wind shift. Texas Forest Service is on the scene at this time along with several Grimes County units. The fire remains south of County Road 306. There are no evacuations at this time. We will update you as we receive additional information. Fathers Day of 2011 a bar-b-que pit set off a massive wildfire at Dyer Mill destroying homes and property. Back then conditions were extremely dry and winds were favorable for spreading. Unlike tonight with the moist air and an area that had burned in 2011 which has reduced the fuel extensively.
