A large fire at the Knights of Columbus Hall in the 1500 block of Groesbeck St. near Palasota Dr. in Bryan.
The Bryan Fire Department is not commenting at this time, but police say multiple firefighters have been injured in the fire and were taken by helicopter to various hospitals including a burn unit in Galveston.
Fire crews on scene say that part of the roof of the building collapsed while firefighters where inside.
Many helicopters have been dispatched to assist and there are a number of emergency crews from different agencies responding. The Bryan Fire Department has a number of engines on scene, and the College Station Fire Department is aiding their efforts. There are also volunteer fire crews helping from Brazos County.
Drivers are advised to avoid the intersection as well as the area of Leonard Road near FM 2818 where crews may continue to stage.
The fire is still burning as of 2 a.m. and crews are expected to continue working throughout the night.
