A few days ago, a photo surfaced on social media of a new Corvette converted to what is, by all accounts, the hottest looking MCSO patrol car ever. The photo quickly went viral.
As a result, law enforcement and civilians alike have shared, commented, asked to drive the car, and in some case, been filled with envy.
Another post related to the coveted car has now begun to go viral. That post (below) was created by Cleveland ISD Police Chief and MCPR Columnist Rex Evans.
Evans, whose columns and posts are often very serious and about the difficult jobs of first responders, wrote this one “tongue in cheek.” He said, “With all the heartbreak, violence, death and sadness… I just couldn’t bear it anymore… I had to think of something to try and give us all something to smile about.”
While his post was meant as a joke, some people have pointed out the advantages of the vehicle one person described as something to wear and not to drive. Some say gas mileage and ease of parking make it a winner.
(Sorry folks… we’re going to have to go with the guy who said it was more like an item of clothing)
Details on the MCSO Vette will be posted on Monday…
