Burglary of Motor Vehicle quickly solved

SOUTH MONTGOMERY COUNTY – Around 4:45 a.m. on Monday, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office patrol units responded to the area of Summer Storm Circle in The Woodlands after someone reported suspicious activity. An unfamiliar vehicle parked at a neighbor’s residence, and then an occupant got out and walked to several different homes on the street.

The caller described the vehicle and gave the 911 operator a description of the vehicle including the license plate.
An MCSO patrol deputy saw the vehicle and tried to block its path with his car, but the suspect’s vehicle tried to drive around the marked patrol car. The deputy maneuvered the patrol car into a position that prevented the suspect’s escape.

Investigating deputies found property inside the vehicle that was stolen from multiple vehicles in the area.

Two white males, Bradley Ragland, 18, and 19-year-old Shawn Burton of Conroe were arrested and charged with two counts of burglary of a motor vehicle. Additional charges are pending.

As of this writing, Ragland remains jailed and Burton has been released on bond.
