BUST NETS 5 KILOS OF METH

In a joint multi-jurisdictional narcotics operation, involving the Houston Police Department Narcotics Division, the Conroe Police Department Narcotics Division, the Montgomery County Pct. 2 Constable’s Office, and with the assistance of Montgomery County Pct. 4 Deputy Amstutz and K9 “Dino” more than 5.0 kilograms of methamphetamine with a street value of $63,000 were seized.
Deputies initiated a traffic stop of the suspect vehicle and identified all occupants. After requesting permission to search the vehicle, which the driver refused, Deputy Amstutz had K9 Dino perform a free air sniff around the vehicle which resulted in several positive responses for narcotics. Based upon all investigative information obtained prior to, during and after the traffic stop, a search of the suspect vehicle led to the discovery of more than 5 kilograms of methamphetamine inside the passenger area.
All four suspects listed below were charged with Manufacturing/Delivery of Controlled Substance greater than 400 grams, a First-degree felony, and booked into the Montgomery County Jail.
