Christmas Day fire

A LITTLE AFTER 7AM CHRISTMAS MORNING LAKE CONREO FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDED TO A COMMERCIAL FIRE IN THE 16400 BLOCK OF HIGHWAY 105 WEST. ON ARRIVAL AT THE LAKESIDE MARINE REPAIR FACILITY THEY WERE MET WITH A TWO STORY BOAT REPAIR SHOP WITH HEAVY FIRE IN THE OFFICE AREA. LAKE CONROE CHIEF LEONARD MIKESKA REQUESTED A SECOND ALARM WHICH BROUGHT IN MONTGOMERY, NORTH MONTGOMERY AND CONROE FIRE DEPARTMENTS. CHIEF MIKESKA PRAISED THE CREWS ON KEEPING THE FIRE CONTAINED TO THE OFFICE AREA AND OUT OF THE SHOP AREA. IN THE SHOP BESIDES TOOLS WERE THREE FIBERGLASS BOATS IN FOR REPAIR. THEY RECEIVED MINOR DAMAGE. MONTGOMERY COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE KEPT TRAFFIC OFF THE FIREFIGHTERS AND THEIR HOSES AS ONE HAD TO BE LAID OVER FIVE HUNDRED FEET TO A HYDRANT.
