Monday afternoon, at approximately 4:38 pm, Conroe Police Dispatch received information of an accident at 3 Palms Action Sports Park, located at 15100 S. IH 45. Upon arrival, investigators learned that while conducting a jump on the dirt track with his ATV, the victim landed incorrectly on the front end of the vehicle. This caused the back end of the vehicle to flip over the front. The vehicle landed on the victim, killing him instantly. The victim was wearing a helmet and other required safety gear. The victim, “A.J” Allen Martin Jeffrey Gilbert, age 22, from Hartsel, Colorado, had been staying with family in the area.
