CONROE CITY COUNCILMAN ARRESTED FOR DWI

On Wednesday, February 12, 2020 shortly before 9PM, Montgomery County Pct. 2 Constable’s Deputy J. Smith made a traffic stop in the 300 block of S. Loop 336 W. Upon approaching the driver, later identified as DUANE MICHAEL HAM, W/M age 49 of Conroe, Smith noticed several signs of intoxication, including the smell of alcohol on HAM’s breath.
HAM admitted to Deputy Smith that he had been drinking, and a series of field sobriety tests were administered to HAM. Deputy Smith was able to show driving impairment from the tests, and after review with the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, charges of Driving While Intoxicated were accepted against HAM.
HAM refused to provide a blood sample voluntarily, so a search warrant affidavit was prepared and County Court-At-Law Judge McDonald issued a search warrant ordering a blood draw for evidence. HAM was later booked into the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

HAM, DUANE MICHAEL
