HOUSTON –The Texas Transportation Commission awarded a little under $1.1 million to construct the Conroe Park and Ride facility at I-45 and FM 2854.
The contract was awarded to Smith and Company with work anticipated to begin by the next quarter. The funding for this project is from the Texas Mobility Fund(state) and local funding.
The Commission also awarded $4.5 million to Angel Brothers Holdings Corp. for planning, base repair and asphalt repairs on SH 242 from just east of the San Jacinto River bridge to Hickory Rd.
Both projects are expected to begin construction this summer and are due to be complete by the end of the year.
