CONROE MAN KILLED IN HUNTSVILLE ACCIDENT

Just after 11pm Tuesday night Huntsville Police were dispatched to an auto pedestrian accident on Highway 19 near Old Houston Road. A Huntsville man was driving in the southbound lanes in his 1999 Dodge Stratus when he struck an object. When he turned around to investigate he determined it was a pedestrian.

According to Huntsville Police  Department Criminal Investigations Interim  Lt. Jim Barnes the victim was identified as Jason Michael Limas, 22 of Conroe. He believes Limas was killed on impact, and sustained significant trauma injuries to his head and body.

Limas was to be in Huntsville to visit his girlfriend but was nowhere near her home when he was struck on this dark unpopulated stretch of Highway 19.

No charges are expected in the accident as the driver has been cooperating fully. Limas body was sent to the Southwest Forensic Center in Conroe for autopsy.
