Last Saturday at approximately 2:20p.m. Conroe Police officers were dispatched to check the welfare of a resident at the Timbers of Pine Hollow Apartments located at 2020 Plantation Dr. A resident there had called police and reported that his neighbor’s front door had been standing ajar overnight.
Officers arrived and made entry into the apartment, where they located the victim. He had suffered an apparent gunshot wound, and was deceased.
The victim was identified as Fermin Aguilar Flores.
Over the course of the next 60 hours, Investigators B. Mitchell and R. Sanders were able to identify a suspect and secure an arrest warrant for murder. The suspect had been identified as Steven Keith Milliff, age 30, resident of the Conroe area.
Investigators were able to determine that the suspect was at his residence during the evening of 02/28/11. The suspect was arrested without incident at his residence.
The suspect is currently being booked into the Montgomery County Jai.
Milliff does have a prior record. In 2000 he was arrested in Liberty County for possession and given 180 days. In 2002 resisting arrest in Liberty County and given one year. Also in 2002 he was given 180 days for criminal mischief. An assault on a public servant was filed September 18, 2001 and he was given 3 years in TDC.
He also had a resisting arrest charge filed on him in Montgomery County in 2000. He was living in Houston at the time and then moved to Pleasure Lake Drive in Willis.
