Just past midnight on Sunday, July 29th, Conroe Police Officers thwarted a possible armed robbery at Zone D Erotica, located at the 800 block of I-45. A vigilant store employee contacted CPD regarding two suspicious males behind the store. The clerk described the suspicious males wearing dark clothing and white t-shirts on their head. Store video showed what appeared to be a metallic item being held by one of the males. Officers arrived on location and the males began running towards the direction of local apartment complex. The suspects were detained and with further investigation, officers were able to arrest the suspects for evading detention and attempted robbery. They have been identified as Morel Leroy Sneed Jr., 29, of 913 MLK Place in Conroe and itzavely Nisena Gamboa, 21, of 9781 Lazy Oaks in Conroe.
Both are charged with attempted aggravated robbery and evading arrest. Gamboa’s bond was set at $30,750 and Sneed’s was denied a bond at this time.
