CONROE POLICE SHOOTER IN CUSTODY


Saturday morning approximately 12:07 am, the Conroe Police Department apprehended Raymond Cole Lynch, in connection with the shooting of a Conroe Police Officer on Tuesday, March 27th at approximately 4:10 am. The combined efforts of the Conroe Police Department, other area law enforcement agencies including: Texas Rangers, US Marshals, Huntsville Police Department, Walker County Sheriff’s Office, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, and the suspect’s family led to bringing the suspect into custody without further violence. In addition, the Conroe Police Department would like to thank our community for their support and concern. The community provided invaluable information and tips that assisted in locating the suspect. Lynch is now in the Montgomery County Jail and being held without bond on the charge of aggravated assault on a peace officer.
