CONSTABLE AND HIS K-9 GRADUATE FROM THE K-9 ACADEMY AS A DUAL PURPOSE K-9 / HANDLER TEAM

Today, Deputy Ray Montalvo and K-9 “John” with Constable Mark Herman’s Office graduated from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Academy as a dual purpose K9/Handler Team certified in narcotics and patrol.

K-9 “John” and Deputy Montalvo graduated the academy with several other K-9 teams from the HCSO. The K-9 Academy consisted of 13 rigorous weeks that involved training in narcotics, obedience, tracking, and apprehension. K-9 “John” and Deputy Montalvo are now on the streets protecting and serving the citizens of Precinct 4. Thank you to HCSO for this training opportunity!

Representing Constable Herman was Captain Jonathan Zitzmann, Lieutenant Buddy Gheen, K-9 Sergeant Andrew Baskins, K-9 Corporal Terry Fentress, K-9 Handler Ray Montalvo, K-9 Handler Justin Loucks and K-9s “Cactus Jack”, “John” and “Telle”.
