CONSTABLE DEPUTY UTILIZES TASER TO SUBDUE A RESISTING SUSPECT WHO WAS DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

On January 13, 2019, a deputy with Constable Mark Herman’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in
the 18800 block of Tomball Parkway. The driver was identified as Jeron Henderson, who displayed several
signs of being under the influence of a controlled substance.
The deputy attempted to conduct Standardized Field Sobriety Tests but Jeron Henderson became
uncooperative and refused any further testing. The deputy attempted to detain him, but he began to
physically resist and refused all verbal commands given to him.
The Constable Deputy deployed his department-issued Taser and was able to gain control to apprehend him.
“Jeron Henderson was arrested and booked into Harris County Jail, charged with Resisting Arrest and Driving
While Intoxicated. His bond total bond was set at $1,500.00 out of County Court 5.”-Constable Mark Herman
