Constable Mark Herman’s Criminal Investigations Division conducted an investigation into the online trafficking of child pornography. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that a residence in the 2000 block of Lake Creek Drive in Kingwood was the source of these child pornographic files being downloaded.
Precinct 4 Investigators obtained a search warrant for the residence and executed it in the early morning hours of September 27, 2018. During the execution of the search warrant, the defendant, identified as Kenneth Morphis, confessed to investigators that he had been seeking and obtaining child pornography online.
A review of the contents of Morphis’ laptop computer found a cache of child pornography. Kenneth Morphis, who is a career educator currently serving as a substitute teacher in the New Caney Independent School District, was arrested and charged with three counts of Possession of Child Pornography.
