CONSUMER MONEY SAVING TIP

Several weeks ago my cruise control on my Chevrolet truck went out. Two different dealers , $900 to replace module.

Shade tree mechanic repaired for $8.00

Just before the cruise control quit I had a turn signal go out. Went to the parts house and they convinced me to replace it with the much more expensive but longer life and brighter LED bulb.

Shade tree mechanic said cruise control works off the brake electrical and LED light has virtually no resistance causing cruise control to think you are hitting the brakes. He said there is a $12.00 adapter you clip to the brake wire to make it think it is a regular bulb if you are using LED’s
