COUPLE DIES FROM GUNSHOT WOUNDS IN ASSISTED LIVING FACILITY

CONROE- A couple residing in an assisted living facility each died from a single gunshot wound on Saturday night, according to the Conroe Police Department.

According to a statement by Sgt. Grange McCreary, officers responded to a reported shooting in room 302B of Park Manor Assisted Living, located at 1600 Grand Lake Drive just after 9 p.m.

They arrived to find two victims, a 77-year-old white female and a 77-year-old white male, both with gunshot wounds to the head. Park Manor staff members were attempting to treat the couple.

The woman was pronounced dead on the scene by Pct. 2 Justice of the Peace Trey Spikes.

The man was transported to Conroe Regional Medical Center, where he too was pronounced dead.

The Conroe Police Department is investigating the deaths.
