The Conroe Police Department conducted a seven month long operation targeting the illegal distribution of crack cocaine within the city. Narcotics investigators began the operation by identifying street users and were eventually able to permeate mid-level dealers to conduct undercover buys from these individuals. During the operation, Conroe Police narcotics officers made 53 cases on 29 individuals for dealing crack cocaine.
On Wednesday, May 5, Conroe narcotics officers advanced to the next stage in the investigation and, with the assistance of Conroe Police S.W.A.T., conducted two search warrants and arrested five individuals in connection with the investigation. The search warrant at one residence produced over 58 grams of cocaine, a second degree felony.
