Just after 7 p.m. Wednesday the Montgomery County 911 Center with reports of a multi-vehicle crash on SH 105 between Waukegan and Austin Elementary. Units arrived on the 4-vehicle crash that had traffic at a stand still. Several people were transported to the hospital in serious condition. DPS investigated the crash in which a Dodge pickup was eastbound on SH 105 when the driver came up on stopped traffic. After applying his brakes he slid a long distance before slamming into the rear of a dark colored KIA. The KIA then shot across the westbound lanes, through the ditch and up onto the grassy median on the north side of the road. That driver was transported to the hospital. Meanwhile, the Dodge truck continued sliding and slammed into a red KIA crushing the rear of that car and pushing it into a 1988 Chevrolet pickup. The female in the red KIA who lived in the area was several months pregnant and was transported to the hospital. The driver of the Chevrolet and his passenger were uninjured. The driver of the Dodge truck which suffered minimal damage was not damaged. He was arrested for driving with an invalid license. The road reopened just before 10 pm.
