AN ACCIDENT ON WOOD LANE JUST NORTH OF SPLENDORA INVOLVING A 2002 GMC SUV REQUIRED THREE HELICOPTERS TO TRANSPORT THE VICTIMS. ABOUT 2PM 18 YEAR OLD JANET CASTRO WAS DRIVING WESTBOUND ON WOOD LANE WHEN FOR AN UNKNOWN REASON HER RIGHT WHEELS LEFT THE ROADWAY. SHE OVERCORRECTED RUNNING INTO THE LEFT HAND DITCH AT WHICH TIME SHE OVERCORRECTED ONCE MORE FLIPPING THE SUV ON ITS ROOF. ACCORDING TO TROOPER NEAULT JOSE CASTRO AGE 20 WAS EJECTED FROM THE VEHICLE AND 2 YEAR OLD KJAMES CASTRO WAS INJURED. CLEVELAND FIRE/EMS ASSISTED BY SPLENDORA FIRE AND MCHD TRANSPORTED THE VICTIMS TO A CHURCH PARKING LOT AT US59 AND FOSTORIA. PHI AIR MEDICAL ONE FROM CONROE AND PHI AIR MEDICAL FIVE FROM LAPORTE HAD ALREADY LANDED AND WERE AWAITING THEIR ARRIVAL. LIFE FLIGHT FROM TOMBALL ALSO JOINED THEM. THEY WERE ALL TRANSPORTED TO HERMAN HOSPITAL IN HOUSTON.
