crash takeS life in west montgomery county

At 10:28 p.m. Friday MCHD arrived on the scene of a two car head on crash  in the 31500 block of Walnut Creek near Turtle Creek. Magnolia Fire Department  who arrived moments before  immediately started  rescue operations on a 2001 Honda Civic driven by Alexander Gonzalez, age 24. Gonzalez was already deceased, his cousin  who has not yet been positively identified was in the passenger seat.  Once removed he was transported to Tomball Hospital in stable condition with a broken hip.
A 2004 Ford F-150 which was the other vehicle in the crash had heavy left front damage but no damage to the passenger compartment. The driver Pedro Maldonado, 32 and his passenger Maria Garcia, age 37  suffered minor injuries. In the back seat of the truck three  children between the ages of  5 and 12. They were uninjured.
According to DPS Trooper Campbell the Honda was traveling  southbound on Walnut Creek and the pickup was traveling northbound.  For unknown reason the Honda crossed the center line striking the pick up head-on.
It is believed alcohol did play a factor in the driver of the Honda.
Eickenhorst Funeral Directors transported the deceased to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy.

    Driving drunk is a great way to sober up fast, dead.
    All is not lost, however. The confetti & dyed eggs can be used to at the dead drunks’ funeral.
