December 14, 2010 Weekly Media Summary & “BLOTTER” Review BY MCSO LT. DAN NORRIS

District 1 – Lt. Jim Fleming (North County)

A 43 year old female from Conroe was arrested at 1:07am, December 6, in the 13200 block of Rocky Road by Deputy S. Squier for a possession of a controlled substance warrant out of Montgomery County. The female was listed as a fugitive from justice. The Deputy received prior information on the female’s location. The female was transported to jail.

On December 6, Deputy S. Squier observed a traffic violation by a vehicle in the area of Hwy 105 E and FM 1484. The Deputy was able to stop the vehicle near the intersection of Hwy 105 E and Crockett Martin. Upon making contact with the male driver it was learned the male was operating the vehicle without a valid driver’s license. He had previous convictions for driving with license invalid. The 48 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 5:35am, charged with DWLI 2nd or more and taken to jail.

A 24 year old male from Katy was arrested at 12:45am, December 7, in the 1900 block of North Acres Road by Deputy S. Squier for a public intoxication warrant out of Willis PD. The Deputy was investigating a trespasser call and found the male hiding out in a building. The male was taken to jail.

On December 7, Deputy S. Degner was notified of a disturbance in progress in the 4500 block of Emerson Court. The Deputy located all parties involved. A male at the location had slapped his mother and the mother had slapped her daughter-in-law. Both subjects were intoxicated and would not calm down even after the Deputy’s arrival. Both subjects, the 21 year old male and 54 year old female, each from Willis, were arrested at 11:08pm, charged with family violence assault and transported to jail.

On December 8, Deputy K. Underwood was dispatched to the 12300 block of FM 830 for a suspicious vehicle call. The Deputy located the vehicle which was in the middle of a field and stuck. The female owner of the vehicle was visibly upset and intoxicated. She admitted to have taken several prescription medications throughout the day. The 45 year old female from Conroe was arrested at 3:41am and taken to jail for public intoxication.

A 51 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 7:38pm, December 8, in the 14000 block of Grangerland Road by Deputy R. Overbay for a harassment warrant out of Montgomery County. The Deputy was notified of the male’s possible location. The male was transported to jail.

A 39 year old female from Conroe was arrested at 12:37am, December 9, in the area of County Line Road and Rose Road by Deputy K. Underwood for a theft by check warrant out of Montgomery County. The female had been stopped on a traffic violation. The female was transported to jail.

On December 9, Deputy K. Albritton observed a traffic violation on a vehicle headed southbound on I-45 near Calvary Road. Upon making contact with the male driver the Deputy detected the male to be intoxicated. The 49 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 7:53pm, charged with DWI 3rd or more and transported to jail.

A 24 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 1:07pm, December 10, in the area of FM 1484 and Clint Parker Road by Deputy J. Kader for five Conroe PD traffic warrants. The male had been stopped on a traffic violation. The male was taken to jail.

A 22 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 4:22pm, December 11, in the 14300 block of FM 1484 by Deputy J. Bourne for two traffic warrants out of Montgomery County JP 4. The Deputy was investigating a trespass call. The male was taken to jail.

On December 11, Deputy K. Berger observed a motorcycle speeding in the 16200 block of Hwy 105 E. The Deputy was able to stop the vehicle and noticed the male driver to be intoxicated. The 52 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 10:21pm, charged with DWI and transported to jail.

On December 12, Deputies J. Reuvers and K. Berger were dispatched to the 5800 block of Mount Zion for a disturbance in progress call. The Deputies met with the children of the residence who advised their parents were arguing. The Deputies met with the female and her husband and discovered that the male had kept the female in the room not allowing her to leave and had fired several rounds from a firearm into the floor and walls. The 35 year old male from New Waverly was arrested at 3:40am and charged with unlawful restraint and deadly conduct. He was transported to jail.

District 2 – Lt. Brady Fitzgerald (South County)

On December 11, 2010, Deputy Pierman responded to a Family Violence call in the 25200 block of I-45. Upon arrival, Deputy Pierman spoke with the complainant who stated that the suspect, her husband (32-year-old male), pushed her into the refrigerator. He continued to yell at both the complainant and her son. She believed that he was under the influence of drugs and alcohol at the time of the incident. The suspect barricaded himself in a back bedroom to prevent being arrested. The suspect was non-compliant with Deputy Pierman and Deputy Everton’s commands and continued to resist arrest, even after being handcuffed. The suspect was charged with assault.

On December 12, 2010, Deputy Fruge was dispatched to 324 Rayford Rd in reference to a disturbance. The suspect was seen wearing a black holster with a gun inside it and a neck lanyard that said sheriff and wanted entry into the business.  The gun was later examined and found to be a pellet gun. Deputies learned that the suspect had called their corporate office and advised them that he was a deputy and that the business was not assisting him. The 33-year-old male from Spring, Tx. was arrested for impersonating a public servant.

District 3 – Lt. Darrel Conn (East County)

On 12-07-10, Deputy Holden responded to the 18100 block of Deer Glen West in regards to a family violence assault. He subsequently arrested a 25 year old female after it was found she assaulted her mother and caused pain.

On 12-08-10, Deputy Walker responded to a business in Porter in regards to a female suspect passing counterfeit money. The 28 year old female suspect was found inside the nearby Wal-Mart. She was arrested and charged with Fraud.

On 12-09-10, Deputy Ortiz saw what appeared to be a fight occurring on the side of the road near Old Sorters and FM 1314. His investigation revealed that one of the people involved, a 34 year old female, had been caught stealing merchandise from the nearby CVS store. Due to prior convictions for Theft, her charge was enhanced to a class B misdemeanor.

On 12-10-10, Deputy Amstutz conducted a welfare check on a 48 year old male who was seen slumped down in his vehicle in the 24000 block of Loop 494. It was found that the male was in possession of Crystal Methamphetamine. He was arrested for this offense and it was found that he was on parole for a prior DWI conviction.

aulted his wife by pushing her down. y with a child which was 9 years old. eOn 12-11-10, Deputy Rippley was dispatched to Wrangler Ave in regards to a family violence assault. Her investigation led to the arrest of a 34 year old male for felony Assault by Strangulation.

On 12-12-10, Deputy Morris arrived on Oak Shadows Lane to investigate an assault. During his investigation, he found that an 18 year old male had intentionally fired a handgun towards the complainant. She was unharmed but desired to pursue charges. The male was located and arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

On 12-12-10, Deputy Azwell arrested a 19 year old female for a Theft warrant during an investigation of a disturbance on Rockdale Dr. On this same date, he also arrested a 23 year old male, on Hickory Road, who had 5 open warrants.

On 12-13-10, Deputy Azwell coordinated with Sgt. Miller after receiving a Crime Stoppers Tip regarding a wanted felon. The 25 year old male was located at a residence Dewberry Lane and was arrested for Bond Forfeiture for Felony Theft charges.

On 12-13-10, Deputy Holden responded to the Porter Wal-Mart in regards to a theft call. Prior to his arrival, the actor, a 21 year old male, left the location. Wal-Mart security provided a vehicle description and the vehicle was located with the male driving. During the traffic stop and ensuing investigation, he was found to be in possession of cocaine and was arrested for Felony Possession. He was issued a citation for the theft.

District 4 – Lt. David Park (West County)

On December 13th Sergeant Russell was dispatched to locate a possible intoxicated driver. Sergeant Russell located the vehicle on Old Hockley and followed it, turning south on Nichols Sawmill. Upon making contact with the driver, a 19 year old male subject the deputy found marijuana. The subject was taken in to custody and charged with Possession of Marijuana and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

On December 12th Deputy Provenzano observed a Gray Ford Ranger run a red light. The Deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle, approached the driver a 26 year old male subject and detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage. The subject was arrested and charged with DWI. He was transported to the South County Jail.

On December 10th Deputy Mittag and Sergeant Russell were dispatched to the 40600 block of FM 149 in reference to an Alarm. Upon arrival to the scene the Deputies observed a Black GMC truck with motor running in the parking lot. A 42 year old male subject was asleep inside with a methamphetamine pipe laying on his lap. Inside the driver door pocket were five clear baggies with methamphetamine residue. A Marlboro box in the center console contained marijuana. The subject was arrested and charged with Possession of Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana. He was transported to the South County Jail.

On December 9th Deputy Provenzano observed a Tan Camry in the parking lot of a gas station on the corner of Butera and Nichol Sawmill. The Deputy initiated a traffic stop and could detect a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the 46 old male subject. Deputy Provenzano performed a Standard Field Sobriety Test on the subject. The subject had a previous DWI in February. The subject was arrested for DWI and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

On December 9th Sergeant Russell was dispatched to a Welfare Check in the 500 Block of Magnolia Blvd. Upon arrival Sergeant Russell observed a 28 year old male subject stopped in the moving lane of traffic and he appeared asleep with his foot on the brake. Attempts to wake the subject were unsuccessful at first and when he did finally wake up he took his foot off the brake and began to roll forward. Upon getting the subject stopped and removed from the vehicle a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath. The subject was unsteady on his feet. The suspect was charged with DWI and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

On December 7th Deputy Provenzano observed a gray Ford truck in the parking lot of the Chevron Gas Station on SH 249 and Hardin Store Road. Deputy Provenzano observed the driver 21 year old male subject to be passed out behind the wheel. The truck was in park, but still running. After finally waking up the subject the Deputy could smell a strong odor alcoholic beverage. After conducting a Field Sobriety test on the subject he was placed into custody for DWI and transported to male booking in Conroe.

District 5 – Lt. Gary Welch (Northwest County)

On December 9th Deputy Lowe responded to Pearl River Drive in regards to an Assault. It was learned that a male and female, boyfriend/girlfriend, had been involved in a physical altercation in which the female had been physically assaulted suffering minor injuries. The female had attempted to call 911 for help several times but hung up on the operator after being threatened by the male. The male subject was arrested for Assault (Family Violence), Misdemeanor A and Obstruction, Felony 3. The male was then placed into the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

On December 9th Deputy Davis responded to a restaurant establishment in the 15900 block of SH 105 W in regards to a Theft. The Complainant reported that upon leaving the restaurant he discovered that someone had stolen his vehicle from the parking lot. The stolen truck including the tool contents were valued at over $25,000. This case is currently under investigation by the Auto Theft Task Force.

On December 11th Deputy Fluellen responded to the parking lot of a condominium complex located in the 12500 block of Melville Dr. in regards to a Disturbance. The adult male subject on location was highly intoxicated and reported being involved in a verbal altercation with family members prior to deputy’s arrival. Investigation revealed that all family members were secure but the male continually made statements that he was going to cause more trouble when the deputy left. Having reason to believe that the male posed a danger to himself or others the subject was arrested for Public Intoxication and placed into the Montgomery County Jail.

On December 11th Deputy Rex responded to a convenience located in the 15500 block of SH 105 W in regards to an Assault. It was learned that a male and female, husband/wife, had been involved in a physical altercation outside the store in which the female was physically assaulted and witnessed by several individuals. The male subject was arrested for Assault (Family Violence), Misdemeanor A and placed into the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

On December 13th Sgt. Peckne conducted a Traffic Stop on a vehicle in the 15600 block of SH 105 W for displaying an expired registration. Upon making contact with the female driver Sgt. Peckne discovered Drug Paraphernalia and several containers which contained Methamphetamine. The female was the arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, State Jail Felony and placed into the Montgomery County Jail.

District 6 – Lt. David Dottei (Woodlands)

On December 4, 2010, Deputy Ross arrested a 25-year-old male from Conroe after a traffic stop on Glen Loch Drive. The suspect was arrested for Driving While License Suspended. He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

On December 9, 2010, Deputy Ortiz arrested a 22-year-old male from The Woodlands after a traffic stop on Flintridge Drive. The suspect was arrested for Driving While License Suspended with No Insurance. He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

On December 9, 2010, Deputy Veith was dispatched to a Welfare Check call on Blackjack Oak Circle. Deputy Veith made contact with the suspect, a 44-year-old female from Austin, whom he observed to be very nervous and unable to stand still. During the course of the investigation, the suspect was found to have two pills identified as Carispordol, a generic form of Soma, on her person. Charges for Possession of A Controlled Substance were accepted by the District Attorney’s Office, and she was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

On December 10, 2010, Deputy Layman was made aware, by a Wal-Mart customer, of some suspicious activity in the parking lot at 3040 College Park Drive. Deputy Layman located the vehicle in question, and spoke with the occupants, a 36-year-old male from Cleveland, and a 21 year old from Spring. During the course of the contact, the suspects were found to be in possession of marijuana. Charges were accepted against both suspects and they were transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

On December 11, 2010, Deputy Aguilar was patrolling around the Recycle Facility behind Bear Branch Park, when he observed two males, with skateboards, sitting on a fence. Deputy Aguilar found this to be suspicious, because the Skateboard area was on the other side of the park from this location. Upon approaching the subjects, Deputy Aguilar noticed marijuana flakes all over the front of one of the suspect’s shirt. A blue metal pipe, filled with marijuana, was located approximately 3 feet away. Charges against the 19-year-old male from Spring, for Possession of Marijuana were accepted by the District Attorney’s Office, and he was transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

On December 11, 2010, Deputy Martin arrested a 27-year-old male from Magnolia after a traffic stop on Woodlands Parkway. The suspect was arrested for Driving While License Suspended. The suspect had multiple suspensions for no insurance and no driver’s license. He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

The following Shoplifting Arrests were reported:

12/4 – Deputy Evans arrested a 24-year-old male from The Woodlands, for Theft at 3040 College Park Drive. The suspect attempted to take $77.92 worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

12/4 – Deputy Roberts arrested a 27 year old male form The Woodlands for Theft at 1100 Lake Woodlands Drive. The suspect attempted to take $99.99 worth of merchandise from Target. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

12/4 – Deputy Houstoun arrested a 25-year-old male from Magnolia, for Theft at 1201 Lake Woodlands. The suspect attempted to take $24.99 worth of merchandise from Sears. When Loss Prevention Officers attempted to stop the suspect, he fled across the parking lot and across Lake Woodlands. He was later located and returned to the scene for positive identification. Due to the suspect having two previous convictions for Theft, he was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail, instead of only receiving a citation.

12/5 – Deputy Godden arrested a 24 year old male from New Waverly for Theft at 1201 Lake Woodlands. The suspect attempted to take 53.98 worth of merchandise from Sears. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

12/10 – Deputy Neal arrested a 17 year old male from Conroe, for Theft at 3040 College Park Drive. The suspect attempted to take $55.70 worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

12/11 – Deputy Weatherford arrested 15-year-old male Conroe and 16 year old female from Conroe, for Theft at 1201 Lake Woodlands. The suspects attempted to take $374.00 worth of merchandise from Macy’s. The suspects were taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Center without incident.
