At 9:16pm Thursday Walker County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting in the 100 block of FM 247 in the Little Thicket Estates Subdivision. Deputies arrived to find a woman dead and a man, shot in the arm bleeding severely. A Walker County Deputy applied a tunicate to the arm which had an arterial bleed. He was the treated by EMS and flown to Houston Hermann Hospital.
A neighbor said the two had been separated but had gotten back together. They were the only two in the home at the time of the shooting.
The female has been sent to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy.
The Walker County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating to determine what actually happened that led to the shooting and how the two were shot since they are believed to have been the only ones in the house at the time of the shooting.
The names have not yet been released or additional details.
