Harris County Precinct 4 Deputy Shannon has been moved to a room today from intensive care. One surgery was completed to clean the leg. The bleeding is now controlled. He is looking forward to at least one more surgery this week.
Deputy Shannon was struck on his motorcycle as he escorted a funeral on FM 1488 at Tamina. Witnesses say a vehicle came through the intersection forcing Shannon to alter his course. This took him into the path of his fellow Port of Houston motorcycle officer. Both were transported to St. Luke’s but due to the nature of injury MCHD was redirected to Hermann Woodlands.
Once stabilized he was transferred to Hermann Houston.
Fellow deputies are working at putting a benefit together to assist his family as he is down.
