DOG BEACH CALENDAR BENEFITING TEXAS LITTER CONTROL

Texas, October 22, 2014, – Texas Litter Control is delighted to announce the publication of the 2015 Rummy’s Beach Club calendar.  “Ordinary Dogs are EXTRAORDINARY,” is a calendar dedicated to the idea that whether you have a champion show dog or a rescue dog they are capable of great things.  All of the photographs were donated by Lisa Goebel, owner of Rummy’s Beach Club, to support Texas Litter Control’s spay/ neuter efforts.  The 2015 calendar is on sale now and can be found on the Rummy’s Beach Club and Texas Litter Control websites for $15.00 with shipping and taxes included or walk into the Texas Litter Control clinic and purchase for $10.00.

“The animal-loving public is better informed than ever, but there is still a long way to go. On October 3rd Texas Litter Control successfully performed it’s 10,000th spay/neuter surgery,” explains Deana Sellens, Executive Director of Texas Litter Control.  “10,000 surgeries is definitely a great start but, it’s just a start.  We need people to fully understand that even one accidental litter really adds up.”

Each and every one of the companion animals featured in Rummy’s calendar has a story to tell.  Rummy was found starving and neglected in Houston in 2006.  His blindness was caused by Progressive Retinal  Atrophy or PRA.  He experienced complications of the PRA which resulted in the removal of his right eye.  Now Rummy has his own business helping other dogs and is a shining example of resilience and love.  A dog can come from a terrible situation and with a little time and love, he can quickly turn into a loving family member.  Their loyalty is unshakable and a dog can teach you everything you need to know about how to enjoy life.

“Texas Litter Control is having a positive effect on our community by preventing unwanted litters of animals entering into shelters, so partnering is a way to continue the impact,” explains Lisa Goebel, Owner and Founder of Rummy’s Beach Club.
