Last Sunday at approximately 7:58 am a Liberty County Sheriff’s Office deputy was dispatched to “welfare concern” on Otis Street in Ames, Texas. When the deputy arrived she observed that a DPS Trooper had detained a black male that was involved in the altercation. Investigation showed that Anthony Jermaine Robertson, B/M, DOB: 02/13/1974, had been in an argument with his wife and left their residence. He then entered the residence of Ashli Lynn Bowen, W/F, DOB: 04/10/1986 without permission. Robertson broke windows and destroyed a television and other property inside the residence. Bowen advised that she did not want to press charges and that she did not want to answer any questions. The deputy was advised by LCSO dispatch that there was an active warrant for Bowen and she was detained and placed in the patrol vehicle.

The deputy then collected drug paraphernalia that was on the ground near the residence. A .410 shotgun that Robertson was carrying was also taken. LCSO dispatch advised that Robertson was a convicted felon. He was arrested and both Bowen and Robertson were transported to the Liberty County Jail without incident.

At approximately 9:44 am on the same date the deputy was dispatched to Stripes in reference to an Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon complaint. The complaint was the husband of Bowen. He stated that “Smurf” (Robertson) came to their residence and began beating on the door and that his wife told him that he could not come inside. Smurf then broke a window and entered the residence and a verbal altercation began. Threats of killing Bowen were made by the defendant. The complainant stated that he pushed Smurf out of the home and he left but returned with a shotgun and approached Bowen saying; “I am going to kill you”. A struggle over the shotgun began and the complainant was struck on the head with the gun and he lost consciousness for a short time. EMS was called and the complainant was transported to the Liberty-Dayton Emergency Room.

Ashli Lynn Bowen was arrested for Revocation of Probation.
Anthony Jermaine Robertson was arrested for Assault with a Deadly Weapon (F-2), Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon (F-3) and is being held on a warrant out of Travis County for Child Support.
