DONATION MADE TO PRECINCT 1 LAKE PATROL

The Constable Pct.1 Dive, Search, and Recovery team recently was the recipient of a large donation from the Please Organization which stands for (Providing Law Enforcement Agencies with Specialized Equipment). The Please Organization donated dive gear equaling $10,000 dollars. The Constable Pct. 1 Dive Team can now outfit 8 divers with all the gear needed to accomplish any diving mission. Before this generous donation all the volunteer divers had to purchase and maintain their own gear. The Constable Pct.1 Dive Team was formed in 1993 by Dive Master Vernon Miller and a few other volunteers in an effort to recover drowning victims while Law Enforcement worked the case. The partnership between Dive Team and Law Enforcement assisted with a faster resolution to the case and helped grieving family members find closure. In recent years with the help of generous donors like the Please Organization and the Chaser Foundation the Constable Dive Team has evolved into a fully functional and in demand unit of professionally trained divers. The gear that was donated by the Please Organization is housed in a trailer that the Chaser Foundation purchased and outfitted for the dive team. The gear and the trailer make the Constable Pct.1 Dive, Search, and Recovery team completely self-sufficient and task ready at a moment’s notice.
The Constable Pct.1 Dive, Search and Recovery Team would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Bill and Gayle Berkley, Gary and CiCi Meistad, and the Please Organization for the great donation and helping us better serve the people of our community.
