SPLENDORA,TX-6/15/2010-After several hours of investigation by Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constables led to information a female in the 25000 block of Ferguson in Splendora had been selling prescription pills. Deputies secured a search warrant and after surrounding the home of 52-year-old Janet Carol Cargle. They tried to get her to come to the door and after multiple attempts made entry on the heavily fortified door.
Once inside Cargle was located in a back hallway and taken into custody. A search of the home produced multiple pills.
She has been charged with Manufacturer Delivery Selling and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
She was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on a $1500 bond.
Chief Deputy Barry Welch said the selling of pills is a big problem around the state and a big problem in East Montgomery County. “Were cracking down on it and doing everything we can to knock this problem out,” Welch said.
He want on to say. “there is no really definite limit on who is selling this right here, it’s not young people and it’s not old people but it’s everybody thats selling it”.
He also said anybody can get their hands on it. It is a real cheap drug being four to six dollars. It’s not one of these where you have to pay $100 for it. It is very easy to overdose on this cheap high.
