Just after 1 pm, DPS was involved in a pursuit which ran from West Montgomery County to FM 1314 then north to Conroe to Silverdale and through the neighborhoods. They then came back to FM 1314 traveling over 100 mph the truck ran head-on at several vehicles also passing on the shoulder. At SH 99 the truck traveled west exiting and re-entering at Riverwalk. He continued to the Rayford Road exit the made a u-turn. Missing the entrance ramp he traveled east on the feeder which makes a u-turn at the river. As he approached the Cherry Crushed Concrete yard the driver slammed into the back of a dump truck. With DPS helicopter overhead the driver tried to flee on foot but was taken down almost immediately. The vehicle is possibly stolen. He is being transported to the Montgomery County Jail on numerous charges.
10PM UPDATE:
Boyd Masterson Votaw had open warrants for bond forfeiture after he failed to appear in court to answer charges from charges brought against him in December on drugs and possession of a firearm. He now faces evading arrest with a motor vehicle.
