Thursday night a DPS assigned to the New Caney Office was alerted to a possible impaired driver on I-69 near New Caney. The driver was driving a white Toyota pickup with a red ice chest in the back. The Trooper spotted the vehicle as it turned off the feeder onto Valley Ranch behind the Valley Ranch Shopping Center. When the Trooper turned the truck vanished. In the back seat were 9 empty beer cans, 4 full ones and two opened cold ones, one of which he put in the back as the Trooper Walked up.
