Driver clocked at 123 MPH had a reeeeeally good reason!

DAYTON,TX – Around 1:00 AM on Saturday morning the Dayton Police Department was patrolling SH 146 south of Dayton near FM 1413 when a northbound vehicle was clocked on radar going 123 miles per hour.

As the vehicle traveled north approaching Dayton its’ speed through the construction zone varied between 98 and 110 miles per hour.

Three Dayton patrol units ultimately were involved in getting the late model, silver, Mercedes Coupe stopped at the Raceway Convenience Store in Dayton.

The driver was identified as James Steven Ferguson age 26 of Highlands, TX.

Further investigation by Police Officers determined that Ferguson had no driver’s license.

Ferguson was issued a citation for speeding, then taken into custody on charges of Driving Without a License and transported to the Liberty County Jail.

Ferguson told Officers that he had a Viagra Pill in his pocket and that he was in a hurry to get to his girlfriend’s house in Dayton.
