The driver of the Ford Mustang that passed away after Friday nights FM 1097 crash has been identified as 40-year-old Scarlett Conlon of Willis.
Just after 9 pm a female driver of a Ford Mustang, was heading west on FM 1097 near Peel Road when for unknown reasons crossed the center line. As she did, she struck an expectant mother in a Dodge Durango. The impact ripped the wheel off the Durango causing it to roll and trap the expectant mother inside. Firefighters from both Montgomery and North Montgomery Fire Departments had to cut the roof off the vehicle to free her. A Ford pickup which was traveling behind the Durango then slammed into to Ford Mustang, coming to rest on top of it. The male driver of the pickup was not injured. The female in the red Mustang which crossed the center line was pronounced deceased on the scene by Montgomery County Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace Wayne Mack. He ordered Eickenhorst Funeral Directors to transport the woman who was in her 40’s to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy.
