Drunk Driver Strikes Patrol Vehicle


On May 16, 2017, Deputies with Harris County Precinct 4, Constable Mark Herman’s Office observed a tan Ford Taurus traveling in the 16200 block of Mueschke Road at a high rate of speed.  Deputies initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and as it pulled into the center median, the driver of the vehicle placed the vehicle in reverse and backed up striking and damaging the patrol vehicle.  The driver of the vehicle was identified as Jose Deleon, who had strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his person and breathe.  Further investigation showed that a sample of his breath, when requested, had a Blood Alcohol Level of 0.190.

“Jose Deleon was arrested, booked into Harris County Jail, and charges of Driving While Intoxicated were filed in the 9th County Criminal Court with a $1,000.00 bond set.” – Precinct 4 Constable, Mark Herman
