Montgomery County, TX – When I’m walking, running, and cycling in our community, I want strong public safety leaders managing our community. Phil Grant is a strong public safety leader. I have enjoyed getting to know Phil thoroughly during the Primary Election campaign. He strives to do the right thing. He has the maturity, integrity, and wisdom to be a great judge of the 9th District Court. He has good humor and a kind heart. While Phil and I don’t agree on everything, I don’t expect perfection out of anyone. All I expect out of candidates and elected officials is that they try to act on conservative instincts and try to do the right thing. I feel comfortable knowing that Phil Grant does that. His opponent is a nice person as well but, at this time, Phil Grant better reflects the values of the citizens of Montgomery County and will bring those values to his work as our judge.
I want to respond to one criticism I’ve heard of Phil Grant: that he supposedly is a narrow-minded prosecutor. Phil has been a prosecutor for two decades and a very effective one at that. He zealously represented his client, the State of Texas and I believe he will just as zealously pursue fairness and justice in his decisions as Judge of the 9th District Court.
Response from Phil Grant said, I sincerely enjoyed getting to know Eric Yollick on the campaign trail. He is a fierce campaigner and I appreciate his passion for the citizens of Montgomery County. I will work hard to live up to his endorsement, and it is an honor to have his backing and his friendship moving forward. I appreciate his faith in me, and I look forward to victory on May 24th.
