ESCAPEE BELIEVED STILL IN WILLIS

9PM UPDATE
Law Enforcement has confirmed the suspect remains in the Willis area. Just after pm the manager at Willis Kroger’s at FM 1097 and I-45 attempted to stop the suspect as he fled the store with merchandise not paid for not The suspect dropped the items except for the long sleeve black and white plaid shirt which was stolen from Krogers. The suspect is still wearing blue jeans, and dark colored possibly blue or purple Croc’s shoes. He has a buzz bowl cut haircut. Law enforcement officers are searching the area now. If sighted please call 911 immediately.

8PM UPDATE
A driver saw the posting on MCPR and contacted law enforcement. He stated the wanted suspect asked him for a ride. He drove the suspect to the Shell station at FM 1097 and I-45 approximately 745 pm. The male is now wearing a button down white shirt and crock. When the driver got home is when he saw the posting and notified 911.

5PM
This afternoon Montgomery County Precinct 5 Constables Office arrested James Metcalf on drug charges. He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail. When he arrived it was learned that the prisoner had ingested some meth. He was taken to Conroe Regional Hospital. While being examined he somehow bolted and fled the facility. At this time Montgomery County units and Conroe Police are searching the area for the male.

A short time after a 2005 Chevrolet Avalance which was tan in color with 24″ wheels was stolen in the Medical Center area. It is not known if the suspect was responsible for the theft
