fatal crash ends in manslaughter charges

Matthew Allen Moore, 24, of 17027 Warren in Hockley has just been booked into the Montgomery County Jail on two counts of manslaughter and two counts of criminal negligent homicide, His bonds total $33,000.

Approximately 1:30p.m. Saturday, August 13, 2011,  a major accident was dispatched near Carl Barton Park on South Loop 336 near FM 1314. When MCHD arrived they found James Brown, 65, of Spring deceased on the scene. A front seat passenger in the 2011 Nissan Altuma, Judith Onisiforou, 64, also of Spring was in critical condition and taken to Hermann Woodlands.

Judith Onisforou has also now passed away due to her injuries.

In the rear of that vehicle was a 16-year-old female who was in serious condition and Christine Onisiforou, 34, also of Spring was transported in serious condition.

Matthew Moore, was transported in critical condition when he was removed from his 2001 Dodge pickup and his passenger Houston Warren refused medical treatment.

According to Conroe Police Lt. Jon Buckholtz, Moore was eastbound on South Loop 336 following cars closely and then went into the westbound lane to pass several vehicles. Unable to get back into the eastbound lane when he met the Nissan he swerved to the left.

The driver of the Nissan seeing the truck in his lane swerved to the right. Both struck head-on in the ditch.

Several transported are expected to be transferred to Hermann Hospital in Houston.

The Montgomery County Assistant District Attorney was sent to the scene of the investigation.
