Early Friday evening a black 2016 Jeep Wrangler turned south onto Nichols Sawmill Road from Indigo Lakes. A 2003 Harley Davidson was also southbound and slammed into the rear of the Jeep. MCHD and Magnolia Fire Department responded to the scene. They were unable to save the operator of the motorcycle. At this time the crash is under investigation by DPS as they attempt to determine the cause. One aspect they are looking at is to whether the Jeep of the motorcycle was operating with lighting. Nichol Sawmill was closed until after 11 pm as the crash was investigated. The victim was transported by Eickenhorst Funeral Directors to the Montgomery County Forensic Center.
