CONROE – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers responded to a two-vehicle fatality crash this afternoon on Old Houston Rd. in Montgomery County.
The preliminary crash investigation indicates at approximately 12:42 p.m., a 2010 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling southbound on Old Houston Rd. when it failed to control its speed, lost control and slid into oncoming traffic. A 2007 Dodge Chrysler 300 was traveling northbound and tried to take evasive action but was unable to avoid a collision.
The driver of the Harley Davidson motorcycle was identified as 62-year-old Tommy Hinkle of Magnolia, TX. Hinkle was pronounced deceased on scene by EMS. Pct. 4 Justice of the Peace James Metts conducted an inquest and ordered the deceased sent to Montgomery County Forensic Services for autopsy.
The driver of the Dodge Chrysler was identified as 24-year-old Jesus Cordova Maldonado of Conroe, TX. Maldonado was released from the scene without injuries.
